  A Nice :

  Le long de la Promenade des Anglais : un longue plage de galet s’étend du port à l’aéroport. Au coeur de la ville, et à seulement 10 minutes en voiture de notre maison d’hotes, les plages de Nice offrent un emplacement unique pour profiter de la plage et de l’animation de la ville.

  A Cap d’Ail :

  • La plage Marquet est la plus familiale, en pente douce et d’accès facile, elle abrite le cercle nautique et dispose de 2 restaurants.
  • La plage Mala est nichée dans la végétation et accessible à pied par un petit sentier, elle est aussi familiale et dispose de 2 restaurants.
  • La plage des Pissarelles est réservée aux plus sportifs, elle est bordée de rochers et accessible par un sentier un peu difficile pour les enfants.

  Une superbe promenade de 4km dans un cadre sauvage et très bucolique est à faire par le sentier du bord de mer vous conduira depuis la plage Marquet jusqu’à la plage Mala. Vous pourrez visiter le centre Meditérranéen avec son amphithéâtre conçu par Jean Cocteau et tout près de la mer le parc Sacha Guitry qui a été aménagé en restanques à côté de la villa (qui appartenait jadis à ce célèbre auteur). Il n’est d’ailleurs pas le seul à avoir été conquis par Cap d’Ail. Ses 3 km de côtes ont séduit bien des personnalités, le Prince de Galles, le Tsarévitch, les frères Lumière, Greta Garbo, Apollinaire, et bien sûr Cocteau…

  A Saint Jean Cap Ferrat  :
  

  • Passable : La plage Passable, contrairement à ce que son nom pourrait laisser entendre est une très  jolie plage entourée de verdure, avec ponton et enrochement sympathique. La plage Passable offre une superbe vue sur la rade de Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat et de Ville franche sur Mer et propose une surveillance ainsi que des sanitaires en été.

  • Paloma : Depuis la plage Paloma, la vue sur la côte montagneuse et les dégradés de bleus est hors du commun. L’endroit est si paisible qu’on en oublie avec plaisir l’urbanité, qui n’est pourtant qu’à quelques pas. La plage Paloma est surveillée en saison et propose également des sanitaires et des bars-restaurants pour se restaurer ou se désaltérer.

  A Antibes :

  • Plage de la Salice : entièrement recouverte de sable fin.
  • Plage de la Garoupe : Superbe petite plage à l’entrée du Cap d’Antibes

• Nice : Nearly all the beaches in Nice stretch along the sweep of the bay between Rauba Capau and the airport at the other end of the Promenade des Anglais.  At approximately equal intervals along this bay there are about 15 private beaches separated by the public beaches. You are allowed to walk along the length of the bay including the private beaches if you remain close to the sea.  You can walk along the seashore after Palais Maeterlinck between Nice and Villefranche sur Mer

• Cap d’Ail :

– Plage Marquet is the most suitable for families. On a gentle slope and with easy access, it is home to the “Cercle Nautique” and offers 2 restaurants.

– Plage Mala is a little cove surrounded by vegetation,  accessible on foot down a very steep path. It is also suitable for families and offers 2 restaurants.

– The Plage des Pissarelles is reserved for more sporty types : it is flanked by rocks and is reached via a path that is rather daunting for children.

You can also visit the “Centre Mediterranéen” with its amphitheatre designed by Jean Cocteau and, very close to the sea, the Sacha Guitry Park laid out in terraced embankments next to the villa which once belonged to this famous author. He was not, in fact, the only one to fall beneath the charm of Cap d’Ail. Its 3 km shoreline was also appreciated by many other personalities such as the Prince of Wales, the son of the Czar, the Lumière brothers, Greta Garbo, Apollinaire and, of course, Jean Cocteau…

• Saint Jean Cap Ferrat :

-Paloma beach : southeast of the port, on the north side small peninsula (St Hospice). Being on a northeast-facing shore and at the base of some tall cliffs, this beach is the most protected from winds, and has less sun in the afternoons. The location is about a 5-10 minutes walk from the port. in direction of “Chapelle St. Hospice”

-Passable beach :is on the northwest side of the main peninsula, past the Office de Tourisme It’s west-facing, with a view across the Rade de Villefranche.

• Antibes :  Antibes boasts some gorgeous sandy beaches, both private and public (some argue they are the best on that stretch of the Cote d’Azur), and as such they can get extremely crowded in summer. The Old Antibes Beach is quite small, but it is great for families with young children as it is very safe (it is sheltered from waves by a small breakwater). The Plage du Ponteil and Le Salis Beach (the main public beach) are much bigger, but finding a space to unfurl your towel here in the height of season can still be a challenge. The beaches at Juan les Pins on the opposite side of the peninsular are huge and well worth checking out. At the Cap d’Antibes, La Baie de la Garoupe boasts charming little beaches, most of them private, where you can rent a mattress to spend the day. For watersports Juan les Pins is your best bet: it is alleged water-skiing was invented there.

• Cannes: Cannes has a large stretch of public beach at La Croisette with a huge selection of cafés, restaurants and people watching opportunities just a short walk over the road. The Cannes public beach is very popular in the summer partly because of these bars. A great place for young people looking for a little night life after a hard day at the beach.
